ABOUT RAIN MAN MAC
From collision parts manager, to master producer! Rain Man Mac was originally born in Columbia Missouri but moved to Ft. Lauder dale Florida at the age of 2 years old and was raised there. Rain Man lived in Florida for 32 years & then moved back to Columbia Missouri 7 years ago to connect back to his roots. Rain Man Mac has continued to perfect his craft with producing over the years.
WE ASKED RAIN MAN MAC, WHEN DID YOU START MAKING MUSIC? WHO WAS YOUR EARLIEST INSPIRATION?
“I started making music in 2000 and I was actually a rapper at the time. Back then there weren’t many sources to obtain beats from like there is now. That’s when I decided to make my own beats. I did that for about 6 or 7 years and then due to the circumstances I did not make any music for about 5 or 6 years. About 3 years ago I decided I was going to start music again, but only producing. So I have been producing now for about 2 1/2 to 3 years.”
WHAT MAKES HIS MUSIC STYLE DIFFERENT FROM EVERYONE ELSE?
Rain Man Mac Told us: “I have always found that question hard to answer. Not because i cannot define my own style, but I always feel like I am putting myself in a box by defining my style. On the other hand, I would say my style is Trap/ Hip Hop.”
Rain Man has entered over 50 remixing competitions, some popular names to mention like splice & Wave.
ARE YOU INVOLVED WITH YOUR COMMUNITY, IF SO, HOW? & WHAT IS YOUR ROLE?
“My role is just to be a good person in my community. If I see stuff in the middle of the road where the traffic is busy I’ll get out and move it. If I see someone broke down, Ill ask if they need help (granted I prolly don’t do that for 100% of the people I see broke down, but I do tend to help people.) I get up and I work everyday and pay and unreasonable amount of taxes to community.”
